　　But here’s the thing: an older world may have less pressure on the environment. As we all know, the environment is the real victim of overpopulation.

　　So maybe a world that grows slower and grows older will put less pressure on the environment, and buy us a few more years to ensure our energy use, along with our birthrates, reaches a sustainable（可持續的）level. 　　Jack Andraka from Maryland won the grand prize at the 2013 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. It is the largest high school science competition in the world. The Maryland teenager is the youngest winner of the $75,000 award，who was chosen from among 1,500 students in 70 countries.
